I purchased a Minolta Rokkor MC 135mm f/2.8 a couple of months ago and had not taken it out for a spin. I kept on reading in the forums how good of a lens it was. I decided to take it out for a spin at Zoo Miami. It has enough zoom to capture things in details, but not enough to ignore the landscape. I had the camera set to shutter priority since animals tend to move quick and unpredictable. Also, this is a manual setup. The aperture and the focus have to be set up manually and this takes time if you're trying to set up a sharp shot. For more shots robfactory.com

Nice captures! The last one with the zebras is brilliant (great timing etc) but I really like the post processing in #6 too ;)

Nice shots there for sure...the Zebras and the little yellow bird standing on one leg are my favorites

Some very nice shots Rob. I like the film like processing on most of them, especially the gazelles. Also the artistic effect of the trees and reflection shot remind me a lot of my own work. Well done.

    Thanks for the compliment.
I have to go back this week and test the Konica 135mm f/3.2 which I hear is very sharp.

    Zoo Part 2

I took my dad with me this time around to the zoo. It was a lot of fun and we only got to do half of it.
I hope this week to go back with the Konica 135mm f/3.2 and take some more photos.
