My Batis 25mm finally arrived two days ago. This completes phase one of gear acquisition.

I have never been a wide angle guy before, so I am challenging myself with the 25mm. On my Leica M8.2, my two favorite focal lengths were 50mm and 25mm. So I am only challenging myself by the crop factor (1.3) of the M8.2.

I am still learning and experimenting but am extremely pleased so far. The most difficult thing for me has been learning the many tricks of autofocus.

A couple more from a local park today. All with Batis Distagon 25mm. The lens gave me exactly what I was trying for in each image. I have the impression that this will be a very reliable lens. Manual focus is beautifully easy. I finding that OLED focus and depth of field display on the lens to be very useful and easy to use in daylight.

Good initial images. I also started to use mine recently, and it is a wonderful lens.
