As the title suggests, I thought it might be fun for us to all look back and pick out our favourite shots of the year that we've taken. Try and keep it to a maximum of three of your own shots, and maybe put a little comment about why these shots are either special to you or just your favourite.

    I'll start:

    1. 9777513956_b32b146e1d_b.

I think this might be the best shot I've ever taken; I just walked out into the garden on a dewy morning and snapped a load of spider-webs, and there it is...

    2. 9530081838_df9c7156fe_b.

This panorama was taken a few minutes after reaching the peak of the pass around Lake Alatau, Kyrgyzstan, at around 3,800m. Just reminds me that all the walking was worth it for the view!

    3. 10995700296_bfe1c34733_b.

In November my favourite band, Turin Brakes, were doing a tour of the UK, and so I emailed them and asked if I could do my first gig shoot at one of their's, and I did!

So, what are your favourites to round off this great year?

I love that first one; the vanishing point and general scale/composition is so cool.

That spider web is killer. These are my offerings:

This is among (if not the) sharpest shots I've ever taken. Processed from RAW, cropped with no sharpening applied.
    peace_rose130512_08.

This one because the reflection off the water isn't quite perfect, but the stars on the lights are.
    clover_island131101_27.

And this one because of the girders contrasting off that incredible cobalt blue sky.

Brian, if the shots are that good, I'm mount agnostic. ;)

I think my best shot was actually taken with my SEL18-200LE:
    Uganda 685e.

And one that's personally meaningful but also something I appreciate technically:
    169e.
    (shot with SEL 35/1.8)

    Some amazing photos here!!!

Having to choose only 3 is tough but here's my contribution anyhow:

    1)

    The gift of life

    2)
    10544110366_2b231588e2_c.
    Newest member of the family

    3)
    9646271614_7e24a87a0a_c.
My other passion - cause this photo won me several prizes and recognition (even if dust in the sensor)

    All shot with the NEX-7

    DSC09280-Edit-Edit-1200x1200.

    SEL 18-55mm ƒ/3.5-5.6

    20130730-DSC01442-Edit-1200x1200.

    SEL 35mm ƒ/1.8

    DSC08153-Edit-Edit-1200x1200.

    Vöigtlander Nokton Classic 40mm

I like these 3 shots because I waited for them.

In The first I liked the background and I stood in the middle of the road waiting for someone to pass by. The girl turns her head and....

The second was the shadows. I liked the light here and waited for the girls to be revealed.

The third, I was <s>completely pissed</s> a little drunk and turned to see the guy staring off into space with light shining right on his face. I was surprised I got this photo at all fumbling with a manual lens in the state I was in.
