This is one of those photos, I don't like and erase. I did just to play with the focus.

It's one of those photographs were the subject (plant) probably shouldn't have been at the rule-of-thirds place. But even if the composition was different, one might still look at it and say, "yes, but why?" Which is one of my big reasons for deletion.

As they are usually up on the desk, my usual subject for playing with auto-focus is... my feet! Don't worry: they all got deleted, so I'm not posting any :)

edit: And... now I come to look at it again, the geometry of your pic has some interest.

I had a bit of a waffling attack there . Thanks for reading!
Waffling attack... :hmmm: I do not know what it is. I have Googled, consulted a dictionary or two and came without conclusions.
One thing is for sure: I did not mean to attack or be offensive in any way.
Please remember that my native language is not English and sometimes there are things that escape the sense...
Cheers ! :)

Here's a great pic of the dust on the top of my car. Look at how well some of those cat hairs, in the corner have some out.

Oh, wait: cat? It was supposed to be of the cat? I deny it!

@DaveC, some people would spend hours post-processing to get that look!

As to mine, I'd guess it is an accidentally-set touch-screen focus point. It happens when I'm carrying the a6500 around, and I usually check for it.

I guess IBIS is a rip-off or you trust it so much, Dave? :laugh1:
Don't have the option of IBIS, and everything has it's limits. On this occasion I had set up a previous shot with a deliberately slow shutter speed on full manual setting, then forgotten to resume my more usual aperture priority mode.
