Out of those pictures we took, we have some bad shots too. And we've seen and shared our best shots here but now please share your bad shots too, just for fun. Share any pictures shot from any cameras except smartphones and please don't over edit the pictures to make them look great. Who knows, your bad shots could be the great ones for some people. Like this wisdom saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
I start with these pictures below, I consider them bad shots. And I think the last picture is yucky :shakehead:

lol... funny idea. Thing is, I delete my bad shots. Of course, I'll likely as not have more this week, and post one here if I remember.

I just remembered I had some legendarily bad pics of Mackinac Bridge in my phones trash can. To my credit, all of these were taken from the back of a rocking shrimp boat. (and i didn't import them into lightroom when I got home, but i had used Playmemories to back them up to my phone in the field.)

these aren't bad shots, they're "abstract" shots.

    Look, it's "fine art photography!"

(I once had someone on another forum get incensed with me because I did this)

edit: In fact, I'm going to post one of these on Insta and see what happens.

Taken during a 7.0 Earthquake or just bad photography?

^^^^I can just about guarantee that that photo is just bad photography, Chris.

During a 7.0 earthquake you're not going to be worried about taking a picture. Don't ask me how I know.

Well, I can't speak to a 7.0, but I was about two miles away from the epicenter of the 6.9 Loma Prieta quake back in '89, and when the shaking started I got up and ran over to a floor-to-ceiling plate glass window (which was flapping like a bed sheet in the wind) to see what was going on outside. Had I a camera at hand, I have no doubt that I would have been merrily snapping away.

But then, I'm not the sharpest stick in the bundle.

I could say I've never taken a "bad shot" but it would be a lie. I take them every day and it's usually motion blur. All of my digital cameras have decent image stabilization but the nerve damage in my elbows sometimes makes my hands shake and sometimes it defeats the IS. And sometimes I'm just a clumsy oaf. Maybe I'll save a few of the clinkers and upload them.

  20. OP, I trash em. But here is one for a book I did. I had to make something out of it as I only had a few days to make the book. If the photo can't be half-ass with PP then it must be relinquished as trash.

    Here is before...

    dscf-sample-no-pp-mr.
    X-E1    ---    21mm    f/1.0    1/250s    ISO 3200

    Here is after...

    X-E1    ---    21mm    f/1.0    1/250s    ISO 3200

Original was also crooked, so I straightened. It is hell shooting there. Photography is illegal, it is lit like a darkroom safelight. The photos look worse on this forum. In hi-res and printed they are not nearly that bad, just 'somewhat' bad.

Google...'An example of what 2-1/2 hours of Lightroom can do for a photograph' that will give you a better idea of my trash and salvaging that trash. Shot it back in the early 70's when I was 19.

Here are Robert Franks proof sheets from The Americans, we all take crappers if we do street work. Check them out for trash.
