hi guys I've been a bit missing and occasionally I take the chance and give back by here in the group to see what has been happening lately. Well, in recent weeks I have used very little my nex, a couple of days received my two lenses and if you see me, I look like a child with a new toy, but the bad weather here is fck, so git wait for thursday to test the SEL35 f1.8mm and and SEL50mm f1.8, although I would to choose CZ, but it is too much money for my now, of course that worth to expend the much to be honest.

I wanted to share some shots I did a couple of weeks with the NEX7 and the kit 18-55mm and the 16mm wide angle, I went walking around Downtown, by World Tride Center.

Always a delight to see your street photos Freddy ;)
Yeah, I also think those SEL 35/50 would give great results at your hands

Thanks for the all coments, AMIGOS, :) i agree with u and Colin, the Sel50 and 35 is a really great lenses, when you guys begin to post some pictures with this lens I told myself, have to be mine, I usually use the 28mm and 50mm in MF, but this time gave another chance the kit 18-55 and the 16mm, because i sold the Sigma combo lást week . So now if the weather cooperates, i will test on the streets of NY this thursday :), somebody want to come?

I really like looking at your street photos. I wish I wasn't so nervous about doing street stuff. I'm afraid someone will be annoyed with me or something.

well, I don't even know why bought the sigma combo, wanted to try a little of this lenses so after a few weeks the 19mm stayed in the box only used a couple of times i decided to sell it, now the 30mm is better for me as it is often used in 28mm in MF (Vivitar, Zuiko), so I had lots of fun but needed something a little faster and the main porpuse was the 35mm,worth keeping the Sigma 30mm is a great lens despite the cheap price. But I had to sell it in order to quote the sel35 and sel 50mm f1.8

Freddy I love your work! How are you doing these B+W shots, are you using in-camera settings or converting in post-production?

I'm new to my NEX and have found great results using the rich b+w setting with the automatically bracketed shots, but on the street there will inevitably be movement and blurring involved in this due to people moving.

I usually create my own presets for street photography, had a few already so I keep according to my preferences, in terms of architecture that use only a strictly Preset for the shadows, details and correction the lens automatically.
Always shot in B / W in raw, so this way have more clear the vision of how is going to be in b / W after the PP.

Great street photography and you are truly blessed, because I can't think of a better place for it than NY.

I sometimes dabble in street too, it's a great way to spend a lunch hour sometimes. But contrary to tradition I tend to keep most of them in colour. Although, as a nod to tradition I process them with film effects to give them a slightly grainier texture. Some of them work best in B&W, though, when colours become too distracting.

I also discovered, the other day, that my Minolta MD 35/2.8 is a great street shooting lens as it has an excelent field of view and is very neat to set to a reasonable hyperfocal distance, for super-fast shooting. Here are two of my most recent street/urban shots, first one with MD 70-210 and second one MD 35/2.8:
