Very nice dude, This is where I'm torn between worlds, between composition and content, between bokeh and sharpness. The image doesnt need bokeh as it's super sharp and the the subject might be a crossing guard and tracks but the composition is really good

Thanks for your comments and I know exactly what you mean. I think I have had the same struggles you describe. I've gone through a phase were I was obsessed with bokeh. I looked to add bokeh in all of my images, because sometimes an image with excellent bokeh that really separates the subject from the background and makes it stand out can be a lovely image. But, I got so caught up in trying to take those kinds of images that I started to get images that I wasn't happy with. I was being very one-dimensional. Now, I'm trying something different by focusing on form and composition. It's also the reason I'm shooting in black and white now. It allows me to focus on shapes and light.

It's all part of a process. I'm still learning and still trying to grow as a photographer. Eventually, I hope to get to a point where I'm not trying to create a certain kind of image, but using what I've learned to make the image I see before me.

Not much activity here, not sure why?
Anyway, I was playing vinyl and doodlin' on the guitar, and it inspired me to take this shot:

I'll play. First image post here so hopefully I'm following the rules and the intent of this thread. These two are from my first outing with my new Sony NEX-C3. Basically just getting used to it. Both images were processed with NIK Silver Efex Pro 2.0. I like to add a lot of structure to my B&W images.
