The local photography shop was having a 50% off sale and lenses on consignment sometimes that don't sell after the allowed time end up on the sale table because the owners don't want them back (not sure why) so I picked up a gorgeous Minolta Rokkor X 50/1.7 (with caps) for $20. I'll try it out and report back when I get home.
Nice score. I got the same lens from ebay a while back. Think I paid a little more, around $40, but got a CPC 28mm and MD to Nex adapter in the sale. My friend has the Rokker 58mm 1.4 and that thing just loves neon in low light. I haven't had a chance to shoot anything yet, need to buy the camera first.

wow congrats Kevin, I have the same lens Minolta Rokkor 50mm f1.7, I bought it about 35 bucks more than a year, was my first MF lens, and really, very happy with that, is very sharp, nice Constrast.
is one my favorite lenses
these were my first shots with this lens a year ago, my first attempts with my NEx5n in MF, and I still love it for portraits.
