50mm f/0.75 X-Ray Lens Turned Into World's Fastest E-Mount Glass
Well, that lens certainly has "character."
I'm waiting for a bunch of guys to adapt a fresnel lens from a lighthouse to a NEX!
Hmmm... That gets me thinking (I know, a rare event), I wonder if the Hubble telescope's mount could be machined down a little.
f/0.75 is, what, two stops faster than f1.4?
I don't see an aperture lens on that thing; I assume its a fixed f/0.75? Imagine some "sunny 16" shooting with it!
So basically the DOF of a Schneider-Krauznach Xenotar 150mm f/2.8 for 4x5 film without the superb image quality or the ability to focus.
Hell, slap on one of those new Techart Leica autofocus adapters, and I bet you could autofocus that monster.
