    I have the following adaptor:

Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter, Minolta MD/MC/SR Rokkor Lens to Sony Alpha Nex E-mount Camera Adapter

I have a Tamron 90mm with Sony mount coming in the mail today. Assuming I don't care about auto-focus, will this adaptor work or do I need an actual Sony Alpha to Sony Nex adaptor?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't work. The Minolta MD mount was the mount prior to the Sony/Minolta Alpha mount. You'll need the LA-EA1 or LA-EA2 to mount your new Tamron to your NEX.

On the plus side, you can pick up the LA-EA1 pretty cheap on the 2nd hand market.

Well poop. Thanks though! I can pick one up today at the local camera shop, I'm just lazy and cheap. :)
