    Hi everyone

I've been using the NEX6s wifi for quite some time now. The wireless transfer to phones is a great thing to have. Was wondering if the same is possible to a chromecast as well.

Ie can you send pics directly from the camera to chromecast to display on a big screen? The cam does show a share to smart TV option along with the share to smartphone and PC options

I was not able to figure out how to do this. Not sure it is possible.

Playmemories mobile app is not listed as compatible on the chromecast site.

Btw, sometimes to review photos I connect camera and tv via hdmi out: very easy, fast and straightforward. You just need a connector (or cable) mini-hdmi to hdmi.

The HDMI option is there. Just wanted to see if all that wifi wizardry works. Btw what TVs can play this then?

Ya, there is not a direct Chromecast connection.

You have to transfer over to your smartphone or tablet.

So guess the only way is to get it to a phone first then cast it.

Alternatively use the cam to upload somewhere and then chromecast can get it back

Gave it a fair shot today.... Seems like the cam and chromecast don't talk to each other at all.

Guess one bet is to upload from camera to flickr/facebook/google+ then chromecast can pick up the images from there

Maybe you can try with some alternative hdmi android dongle, Chinese OEMs are less careful about UX quality control
