    Hi,
I am shooting mainly portraits (90%) and my most used lens is the SEL 50.... Since sometimes I need extra reach to compress face more and create less d.o.f. I have to use some of the two zoom lenses
Either the Zeiss that goes up to 70/4 or the SEL that goes up to the 100/4.
Which would you think it would be a better option for my nex/alpha camera for the subjects I want to shoot at.

I would like to thank you in advance for your reply
    Regards
    Alex

P.S1 I do not want to use legacy lenses
P.S2. I do not think I should wait for any short lens prime from sony ..

SEL18105 is the best at 105.

    Here's a "portrait"

If you have LA-EA2 (I assume your issue with legacy is lack of AF) then there's a number of Sony and Minolta glass. SAL85f28 is about $270 and very decent. The Beercan makes for a very nice portrait lens. There's also 100-300 APO, supposedly very good.

Finally the 70-200/4G, on Canon side the 70-200/4L was the ultimate wedding photographer's portrait lens, by all accounts Sony is just as good.

I don't know how much it is in Europe, it's about $200 used here, I think.
