Europe has many fantastic locations for photography. I've traveled extensively in southern Europe but never hit the northern sites (the farthest north I got was Valberg). Almost every place was fantastic but my favorites are Italy's Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, and Greece's Aegean Islands, with the cities of Rome and Athens and Florence topping the city list. Each is a special treat and a feast for the eyes.

    What are your favorites?

Scotland, Scotland and Scotland again ;)
We have got everything I could possibly want in our small country.
Also, I take a wee trip across the border to England's Lake District a few times a year.

Made the decision not to renew my passport a few years ago ;)

Those are all good. I might add Paris as a city.

I lived in Switzerland from six to thirteen, so... the Alps. I'm a sucker for alpine grandeur.

I can't add Paris because I've not been there. On my bucket list along with Vienna, Prague, Munich, Budapest, and several others.

Venice is very easy to photograph. There's something around every corner. Tuscany for the fabulous light and views. Santorini as we've all seen is very picturesque. I'll be off to Symi which is another Greek island off Rhodes and meant to be rather beautiful :)

Coming from a flat part of north Texas where basically no structures are more than 150 years old, I would be happy to be deposited with my camera nearly anywhere in Europe. I began listing here the places that I have enjoyed photographing, and I noticed that the list included everywhere I have been in Europe. So I am really no help at all. :(

Lisbon, have been there several times and love it and of course if you go north you have Porto in Portugal. I also have been to Seville Spain which I loved and would gladly visit again. Italy's Amalfi coast is on the bucket list, hopefully next year :)

Not much of a traveller here but I live in Europe at least. In The Netherlands, avoid Amsterdam; not that it’s not worth it but it’s expensive and very crowded. Utrecht is a very nice place to walk through. And Dordrecht for instance, a hidden gem with a nice and well-preserved atmosphere.

I loved Amsterdam; and Zurich; and Prague. But, Poland is my favorite.

My favorite cities in Europe are Prague and Budapest. Both have interesting architecture to photograph.

I found Lisbon a wonderful place to visit and certainly wouldn't mind a revisit. Compared to some other European cities, I found it very easy to get around.

My sister lived in Amsterdam for a couple years and loved it. She is a pediatric RN and worked in a hospital there.

OK. You convinced me. I just booked Scotland as part on my Great Britain tour in January 2019.
