I wanted to ask what lenses with auto focus are out there for the sony a7.
A quick Google search yielded this:
And of course there are a plethora of E-mount lenses that will autofocus if you're willing to use them in crop mode, and A-mount lenses from both Sony and Minolta if you're willing to use an adapter.
how crappy would be an a7 with a Sel50 in crop mode?
What's the point of spending $$$ on a full frame camera and then using it in crop (APS-C) mode with these lenses???
may as well just use a legacy full frame 50 till more funds are available,
But you still can afford to buy a full frame A7 body
Just out of curiosity, why do you feel the need to replace your 6 with an A7? What do you feel the 6 is lacking of or what do you feel the A7 on crop mode will offer you more than the 6 ?
(was also thinking of going full frame too recently, that's why I'm asking...)
If you are looking for cheap, only the kit 28-70 is your only option. I have no experience with the A7 or any of the FE lenses but if you are thinking about going Full frame, you need to be able to afford full frame glass as well. I don't see any point in using APS-C lenses in crop mode. You can just keep your APS-C sized camera and enjoy the more compact size. If you can put it off and save your money, you could probably get a cheap A7 kit used when the next generation of cameras is announced.
