for the nex cameras? I wonder if there is a rubberish case so to take a bit of the hits and probable floor crashes in the future. Not that have happened too much but why not protect my camera a bit?

So what does protect the camera from hits and the gravity? Is it just luck?

If it isn't in my hand with a wrist strap on it, it's either in the camera bag or on the tripod. Not sure how a case would help me. I guess for me the camera bag serves as a case. I do have several different sizes of bag. I use the one that fits the gear I'm taking on a shoot.

I've seen several cases, and I actually use one that I purchased from Rainbow Imaging for $26 (if my memory is correct). However I use the top part of the case only when the NEX-6 is in a bag for travel. The bottom half of the bag is always on the camera, partially for some degree of scratch protection if I bump into something, but mostly because the camera fits my hand better with the case installed.
