It's not an NEX, it's not a mirrorless, but it is a new to me camera and as we all know, any day that involves new camera equipment is a good day.

At least I took this shot with my NEX-6

Anyways, just in today and so far, I can tell this is going to be a very capable camera that will fill the tiny gap left when I sold my D300 and got my NEX system. I figure that within a year or two, there won't be any gap because the mirrorless tech is moving so fast, it's just a matter of time before these systems are equivalent or even surpass what a DSLR can do.

So, enough rambling, here she is...

The D7000 has a great reputation, enjoy.

What are you shooting that the NEX can not handle?

Just anything that requires quick AF. Like the kids/dogs running around outside, soccer will be starting soon for my son, stuff like that. I'm sure with practice and prefocusing, I can likely overcome the NEX AF shortcomings in many situations. I think it is really just a matter of me having a DSLR for so long, then all the sudden not having one, it kinda made me panic so I had a sudden overwhelming need to get another one...lol...so I'll probably just hang on to this one awhile until I settle in 100% with the NEX or until NEX (or other mirrorless) gets their AF act together.
