The Minolta Rokkor-X 24/2.8 is the lens that was also sold as Leica R lens correct?

I was gonna buy the Leica Elmarit-R 24mm f2.8, but I discovered Minolta was that made this model Leica ...
I bought a Rokkor 24 which was much cheaper and has the same image quality!
