I noticed we don't have a waterfalls thread. They are always fun to shoot. I'll start it off with a couple from my new-used 16-35Z and the local waterfall

This is a 3 shot portrait pano. Difficult dynamic range. About 4 stop difference between the sky and waterfall cavern, but in this instance I wanted the reflections and this compo so I went for it.

You may have seen this is Pic of the day also multi-shot pano

Different days and times. Dawn and Evening. Notice how the angle of view and the lighting conditions dramatically affect the color and textures of the rock

Something difficult for me to try since there aren't any waterfalls near me :(

Nice David. That first one is a beauty. I added one more.

There not many by me. Just the one. I have to drive at least an hour for others. And even further for pretty ones.

BTW - I added one more for good measure. :)

Going to try to get to Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota this summer for some waterfall action. I used to live in Duluth and would go to Gooseberry all the time. Although Duluth itself has some great little waterfalls in the Lester Park area. Going to see what I can capture ;)

Nice break from the typical long exposure waterfall shots. I think this better captures the power of the water.
Agree...speaking only for myself...I can't help but appreciate the technical achievement of the various LE types...but its hard to beat the natural environment.
