Got back from a short one night stay over in North Wales on Sunday, and of course I had to try out my new A7s. Despite the resolution gap between it and my old NEX-7, I was surprised to find the detail retention and dynamic range more than covered any gulf in IQ, and so from now on I think I'll stick with this for photography too. All of these photos come from both Anglesey and Caernarfon bay.

I was unfortunately limited to two manual lenses, a Chinon 50mm f/1.9 and a Miranda 70-200 macro, as I don't have any full frame glass besides these two legacy lenses. This was a little limiting as I couldn't get any wide angle shots and the lack of stabilisation ruined a few attempts, but overall considering the little time I had I'm happy with the small collection I managed to pull together. Hope you enjoy!

I always thought the A7S would compliment the NEX-7 well. NEX-7 for base ISO shots and A7s for high ISO.

Nice shots! Really like the low tide one.

Thanks. It's strange, I thought the exact same but somehow I feel like the images I'm getting out of the A7s are consistently of higher quality than the NEX-7, perhaps it's just me. The higher dynamic range maybe? The full frame aesthetic? Who knows...

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
