I don't understand a lot of the tech talk but I see pics with wa lens that have vignetting and colour cast on the new ff camera.
Just wondering if say a minolta 28mm would work ok with proper adapter of course.

    Thanks in advance,
    Claude

The problem lenses are wide rangefinder lenses (28mm or below) with short registration distance (short adapter). I didn't see any problems with the adapted slr lenses, so it should work. I saw m42 Takumar 20mm test and it was OK with A7R, of course you need to stop down for corner sharpness.

At this point it all seems hit-or-miss with WA/UWA lenses, though most of the angst has been with rangefinder lenses. If I had to guess (and I do) I'd say that a 28mm SLR lens should be fine.
