This is the first version of the 12mm lens. The newer version is an M-mount, and is rangefinder coupled. The first version is in LTM-mount, and does not have rangefinder coupling. I bought the LTM version so I could use it on my Canon IVSb as well. The rangefind couple is not really needed, since the DoF is so deep at the infinity end. Only really need to change focus if something is really close.

    1/5th @ f/22, ISO 100

To compare, here's the same location with the Sigma 19mm. Same exposure settings.

Back to the 12mm for one more photo. f/5.6 @ 1/80th, ISO 100

Wow. Quite a difference! To me, the wider image is much more compelling. But I'm a sucker for UWA lenses.

Nice db, the UWA really changes the complexion of the scene.

    Another comparison

These were taking at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, which is one of two ancient theaters at the base of the Acropolis in Athens.

    First shot, Sigma 19mm:
    20130605-06+Greece.

Second shot, CV12, processed RAW, but not corrected for distortion:
    20130605-07+Greece.

Same image, with my attempt at correcting the distortion:
    20130605-08+Greece.

Very nice shots. I guess a pano shot would have covered Odeon better on the last shots but again it might add some distortion too.

Hmm... Yeah, I think I should have also shot it as a 3D panorama.

Wow, the area around the waterfall is quite a bit greener than when we were out there.

One from Sunday's hike to Arethusa Falls

    CV12mm 1/350th @ f/8, ISO-100

Flared like a son of a gun. But the mists from the falls was reaching where I was, so not sure how much was the lens vs moisture on the lens.

Two more, portrait orientation instead of landscape

Definitely lens flare, and might even be some sensor reflections.
