I have now managed to collect the Cosina Voigtlander (CV) Leica Thread Mount (LTM) lenses from 15mm to 50mm. The only ones I'm missing are the 12/5.6 and the 25/4. Since I have the 21 and 28 the 25 is a bit redundant so I probably won't get one.

Here's some shots with the 5N/CV21. CornerFix applied.

Another set, this is actually the first shots I made using this lens. Notice the lack of distortion at the edges of the frame. Again, 5N/CV21 + CornerFix.

And a couple from the last set of 2012. These are from the park on the other side of the river from the Vet Memorial.

Thanks again for these. How is the corner sharpness other than the color shift?

Maybe you should write a comparison post about the VC lenses as which ones need corner fix and how the sharp the corners are. The distortion or the lens is important too. There was a good article in lensrentals about the application of distortion correction and how it reduces the overall sharpness of the lens. However with high MP of today's cameras it is negligible to most people who are not printing large photos.

Well, I've noticed no corner issues with this lens either. So far I've not noticed any issues with any of my CV lenses in the corners. The strangely intermittent corner issue with my SEL16 is what started me down the CV path, first with the 15, then the 21, then the 35, and the 50. I just got the 28 the other day and haven't done anything but work up a CornerFix profile for it.

I seldom shoot flat surfaces (and almost never on purpose), so corner issues have to be pretty severe before I'm bothered enough to do anything about them.

Distortion seems to be on par with like focal length lenses, maybe a bit better, but I really haven't shot the CVs enough in enough scenarios to form a solid opinion.

On my 5N I need to use CornerFix on the 15, the 21, and the 28. Obviously I'd need to use it on the 12 if I got that, but right now I'm leaning toward the SEL1018 just because it's wider and that would give me a three lens AF travel set up. But that LTM 12 is pretty small… ;)

In case anyone was considering full frame in the future and was wondering how this gem performs at a full 21mm:

    elizabeth-2-M.

It does very well in the corners, even at f4. Perspective can go awry if it's not mostly level, but that's the fun of a wide angle.

I assume you mean the lens :)

The child belongs to my buddy (on the left). She is a ham when it comes to photos though!

Just bought this little guy. Surprised how tiny it really is. I think it will be a good walk around lens. Not the best time of day but turned out decent.

A lot of really nice pics, Jim. Quite a set of lenses you've acquired. And here I used to think Vivitar was special. :D

Thanks Tony. I still need a couple to complete the set, but I'm working on it. And your Vivitars were a lot less expensive than the CVs were. ;)
