Vivitar (Tokina) 24/2.8 Auto Wide-Angle, MD mount

    I just unboxed my latest "get". I've never seen an aperture scale like the one it has, with 6 different scale markings on one ring and 2 more on another. Only one follows an orange dot, though, and it indicates 2.8 - 16. I suppose the "Auto" means it was meant for an automatic Minolta, especially considering the lens has a set of contacts near a spring-loaded tab. It fits my MD-NEX adapter fine, so I'm about to head out with it for a little walk-about. Sample images to follow later.

    Not bad

    Not bad for an old lens. I don't have the discerning eye that many pros or even more advanced amateurs have, but I have no complaints with the lens. It works great for what I wanted. I went to an old strip mall, then walked around a nearby wetlands area. Here are a few.

    I noticed that spot in a couple of photos, but it doesn't show up in all of them, even sky shots. Odd.
