I have 30 mins to decide whether I get the Vivitar for $150 or the Tamron for $100, which would you guys select?

Well I am no expert on those lenses but surely the vivitar is a legend. From what I have read about Series 1, if the serial starts with 22, then it is the best ones.
Sorry I could not offer more advice but maybe this will get it rolling.

The Vivitar Series 1 90mm f/2.5 was made by Tokina, with serial# starting with 37, filter thread 58mm. It is the precursor to the famous "Bokina" (Tokina AT-X macro 90mm f/2.5) with 55mm filter thread and slightly improved multi-coating.

The Tamron SP 90mm f/2.5 is also a very capable macro lens. It is lighter than the Vivitar and Tokina, which is an advantage on mirror-less in the field. One thing you'll need to pay attention to, is sometimes there's sensor reflection of the rear element.

The vivitar and the Tamron both need the macro adapter or just the vivitar?

Both Vivitar and Tamron lenses reach 1:2 on its own. They'll need the macro adapter/extension tube to reach 1:1.

There's also a Komine made Vivitar non-S1 90mm/2.8 that reaches 1:1 by itself. But it's a different lens.
