The Vivitar is probably one step better (for 210 mm), but very heavy :) The Tokina is very good lens for mirrorless system :)

    Thanks for the test/review!!! ;)

I've been eyeing the SD 70-210mm for quite some time and they seem to sell cheap on ebay...

The Vivitar looks better in the corners @ 210, but for the size weight difference it isn't enough that I would pick and use the Tokina instead.

The tokina I think is a push pull zoom lens. How sturdy is that? How easy is that the zoom lens gets loose and slights around freely?

Is also the vivitar push and pull zoom?

These old all metal lenses are built like tanks. The Tokina at least is very steady, and the push pull is not shaky at all

I have a couple of push-pull zooms (Vivitar and Sigma), and I haven't had any problem with zoom creep.
