Hey! I can see my old house from there!
We went to see Lyle Lovett there on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, they don't allow cameras into the venue itself, so I was unable to capture anything from the show. I'm not a huge Lyle fan, but we went with friends so it was fun. He does surround himself with amazing musicians.
Was he there with his Large Band? I saw him up here at the Britt Festival a few years back. The music was good, but what impressed me most about him was how generous he was with the members of the band, giving them opportunities to show off while he stepped out of the light. A showman's showman.
Yes, his large band was there and he was just as generous this time around. Several of them got to play their solo stuff while he sat in the sidelines or just backed them up. And he always made sure he would introduce them and banter with them on stage. Seems like quite a genuine guy. His stories are actually quite entertaining when he talks to the audience.
Nice pic but where's the wine?
Sounds like a lovely night, with a great photo to go with it.
Well, they were certainly selling plenty of wine inside
nice shot. I like that Lamp in the front of the scene gets attention in front and then view the scene in the bg
Thanks! Yes I liked the lamp but had to frame it a bit high since there were cars under the lamp and that would have ruined the scene for me.
