Has anyone used this lens yet? Any feedback? I'm ready to invest in a longer lens for my N7 and am wondering if this finally is the "ticket"?

I asked this a couple of days ago, but got no response. I'm interested in it's performance too :)

It's not that you're being ignored, more that many here aren't into video enough to buy a dedicated lens of this type I think.

Ah, after the edit my post makes sense. [shakes head]

At least it doesn't seem very popular here, I can't recall anyone talking about owning one.

I can only say what I've heard, and that's that it's optically a little bit better than the original SEL18200. It also seems as the zoom ring is actually coupled (not only by wire) when switching to manual zoom, which would be a good thing.

But in the end - for it's price, size and awkward handling for stills, it's really only a good choice if you're interested in the power zoom function.
