    No, just added a frontal shot; I did not shoot the sun, yet; maybe with with a ND filter.

    I have never seen anything documented on the camera sensor being damaged by shooting at the sun. If you did a really long exposure on BULB maybe, but… ?

    The huge advantage of sunrise/sunset shots with liveview on a LCD or EVF is there's no chance of damaging your eyes, which is pretty important I think. ;)
