Even for us Italians (ad I live in a near region), Tuscany is always striking, I'v been there 3 times in a few years, traveling different counties and there's always something more to see.

This time I'v been in Cortona, pretty steep to walk by :)

    A view of the valley

    Narrow streets

    And the peculiar surroundings

    A wonderful place to rest

Before coming home I stopped in another town, Castiglion Fiorentino, who gave me this.

    And a pleasant goodbye

Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Italy took my breath away with its beautiful vistas, antiquity, and culture, when I first visited in 2011. (Why did I take so long!?!)
I hope to be back this Summer and Tuscany is one of the must visit regions. Thanks for sharing some lovely images of your trip.

Great scenics there...also liked the way the mountain side sloped down at a 45* angle across as background to the three arched doorways in #6

Arg, you have just added to my list of places to visit. We are planning 2 month trip to Europe for next year and will no doubt spend a fair bit of time in Italy. My wife is Italian and still has relatives there. Looks like a fabulous and picturesque little town to enjoy a pizza and some local grappa.

    Nicely captured.

My wife and I tremendously enjoyed Tuscany this summer as part of our 40th wedding anniversary celebration voyage. These images stir wonderful memories. Thank you so much for sharing them.
