This may be a stupid question.

Does ttl work with a manual lens?

    I'm running an A7, 50mm f2 minolta MD, and a HvL-F60M

It should work both on camera and wireless should you get a compatible second flash. The only time it won't work is if you try TTL ( or any manual mode) wireless flash with Phottix Odin triggers.

I tried my a7r with a combination of older Minolta lenses and it works even in WL TTL.

Yes I think so b/c TTL doesn't need to know the aperture or how you focused, it only cares about the amount of light that makes it to the sensor.
