Hey all, Id like to get the ball rolling here on a post about trees, a subject that used to be my nemesis for quite a while. Fell free to post yours, tree or trees in any setting, as long as the tree is the predominant subject

    Ill start

    A7 with the samyang 14mm f2.8 at f4. ISO 640, 30 second exposure. Ridiculously sharp lens...for 400$!!

I don't have your skills by any means, but I do love trees. I think I could be dropped off in a forest somewhere and live by myself just fine. I LOVE forests. Here is one from last Fall on a hike through our state park. It was beautiful.

    hey you guys are awesome!!!!!

    where is this?? star wars!!!

Ive never seen anything like this, is it as tall as it seems?? is it dead? amazing

squeeze me but thats super lovely, a magnificent shot in all accounts. Being in a tropical island and all means I cant get colors like that because the leaves never fall off the trees. Some people find that more fascinating than actual fall

a variant in black and white

    16372962738_5722b62e4f_b.

Im a color gal, black and white is something I have to force myself into doing and i feel I should push me more into it in order to incorporate it into my workflow more naturally. So what Im doing is practically forcing myself to do a bw version BEFORE the color version of almost everything I do, to try and embed it in me.

It is quite tall yes, probably 40ft - I'm glad I captured the feeling of height! And sadly yes, it is dead, in fact just last week I was walking the the same route and it's come down in a storm at some point, only a 6ft stump remains now. I took that last Autumn (of Fall depending on your preference!).

I had forgotten about my Japanese Maple shots. This is my next door neighbors' tree. The most beautiful Japanese Maple I've seen. It is so vibrant for about 4 days in late Fall, then it all suddenly drops when we get a high wind.
