Well... another evening without my wife at home...
So why not a bit of ebay surfing...
    Than there was this auction...
Tokina 28mm 2.8 in a really good condition...
I don't know what happened next... but I seem to have won it for 24EUR completely...

    To be honest :
It was more a reflex... I don't even know if the lens will be quite ok or total crap...

If I can make you feel better I just put a solid option on a Fujinon 35/1.4 at over 400€ tonight. You wanna swap expenses ;) ?

Well, to put things into perspective, my wife and I were talking this morning and she was lamenting the fact that all the sewing catalogs she gets were going to get her into trouble.

I laughed and told her she should be glad she didn't have LBA. Her eyes glazed over at the thought of everything she could buy with what I spend on lenses. I had to point out that I'm replacing lenses I bought with overtime money years ago, not buying new ones. :)

I have it and it is quite good and build very well. I have Pentax 28/2.8 and I like it more but that is just because of mechanics.

Glad to hear that ;-)!!!! Now I can't wait to have it in hand...
It's now the time of waiting for it, hoping that there's no dust, scratch or fungus and that it performs well...

@JTM CR: Great combination, have the 16 + both converters and I really love them! Good buy!

That is the problem. Not only does Ebay encourage uncontrollable financial expenditure, then there is the anxiety over the condition of said items until they arrive. Nail biting stuff for myself and the Bank manager. :)

Package has already seem to be sent out yesterday...
We'll see when it's arriving... in Germany normally 1-3 days depending on service company...

    It's already here!!!
Unpacked it an hour ago and went through a whole cleaning process now...
Fit's great on my Kiwiadapter, no scrates, no fungus, really great condition...
Unfortunately I won't go out for some shots today, weather's just to lousy, cold and gray... :-(

Isn't that even worse than waiting for something to arrive? It gets to you (sometimes even before you expected) and then the weather sucks. Story of my life. :)

Yes. When weather is bad you can't photograph and when it is nice there is so many other things to do. It seems that best option is take photographs inside when weather is bad. ;)

Weather here in Helsinki has been unusually nice. Summer was bit on cold side and some rain but winter has been very nice. I prefer 70 cm of snow to 5 cm of slush. So do the children.

    First Light...

As you can see the weather really s****s... :(

I think that IQ is fine. However snow and snowy surroundings are pretty harsh for older lenses so images with easy lightning tell more about the lens.
I have that lens and it is quite good but benefits from lens hood.

We are going to have worse weather here in a couple of weeks. There is so much snow and day temperatures are rising but night temperatures are
going to be below zero. Slush and frozen slush.
