Congrats Dave!

It's compulsory to post a pic of any newly acquired legacy glass mounted on your NEX - when it arrives!
(I just made up that new rule) :D

Ya I have been through a few 28mm and they were either poor performers or bad lenses.

Of the 28mm's you been through, what are poor performers, any keepers? This kind of info would benefit every one.

I like
* Canon FD 28mm/2.8 (cheap and very decent quality)
* Vivitar Close Focusing 28mm/2.8

I have but don't like very much
* Nikon Series E 28mm/2.8

There're a couple I need to use more to form an opinion.
* Minolta MD 28mm/2.8 with (49mm filter thread)
* Tamron adaptall-2 28mm/2.5

Ones I have tried, all from Ebay:

1- Minolta Rokinon MD 2.8. I bought one and it had all kinds of dust that made the images unusable. I bought a second one and the connecting tabs were beat up and unusable. Both sellers refunded the purchase when notified.

2- Nikkor Series E 2.8. Bad coloring, (everything looked pale), and not sharp at all. Resold.

3- Albinar 2.8 with Macro focusing. I really liked this lens as it allowed me to get really close. Unfortunately I struggled to get a sharp picture in anything but a static object. It seemed that the focus was just way to sensitive on a moving subject and even tricky on a static object. Resold.

I have bought other sizes and have had great luck and some nice lenses. I just can't seem to get a good 28mm. Here's hoping the Tokina is a keeper.

Grr, still waiting for this one to arrive. He shipped it ground and it is just taking forever. :(

I hate waiting, I was hoping to have it tonight for a dinner party.
