Looks like that building has seen better times.

    Nicely shot

Well captured. I look at those and think about all of the people who once roamed those halls, their stories, their dreams. I wonder why such a facility was abandoned.

I know for liability reasons the place is shuttered, but that would be the kind of place I'd enjoy spending an hour or two wandering around inside, camera in hand. While I'm primarily a nature shooter, old buildings interest me, too.

I've seen photos of the interior. Some people are more adventurous than me. I can get clumsy.

A true comment on the times..... "we don't need no science no more!"
Amazing what our country is doing to itself.......

In actuality, the observatory was closed down due to the industrialization of Cleveland and the resulting smog. It limited the use of the telescope. The telescope now resides at Case Western Reserve University. Even so, I believe the building should have been preserved.
