I took this photo of a beautiful restaurant hostess in Española Way. When I zoomed in on the photo in my camera I got something that looked like the last photo. My friends and I were amazing at how clear and beautiful her face was. So in a process to get that feel I had to crop the first image drastically to get to the last photo. 3 softwares, a lot of noise reduction and bokeh enhancement went into the process. Sofwares used: Lightroom 6.0 (filter, sharpen, noise reduction), Google's Nik Photography software (added Bokeh), Photoshop.

Processed (filter, and sharpened) and cropped again, softened and then added bokeh with Google NIK to soften the background noise.

Impressive. But I think I prefer the middle stage.

Yeah, me too. I just wanted to get to the point where I got what I saw when I pressed the C2 (+) on the A7R. So I tried and I kind of (95%) got there. I wish it would have been sharper without the noise, but I'm glad with the result. That's one he'll of a crop though.

As a complete aside to the technical achievements of your undertaking...I couldn't help but notice the absolutely huge eyebrows painted on the face...seems unusual for a woman to go to that extreme.

I don't think they are paint, but enhanced by adding make-up to them @roundball@roundball I would have noticed if they were just painted on. It's a lively place where you have to get attention to bring in people. Make up does that.

"painted on" was simply a verb...didn't mean it was actual paint. :)
