I was very surprised to receive this PM from Phoenix:

Thank you very much for the prize!!!!!, and while I feel very honoured and happy to have won the prize, I must regretfully decline in accepting the prize and humbly request that the camera to be awarded to someone one else.

I have joined to forum with the camera give away the last thing on my mind. I have joined to meet fellow enthusiasts alike to share images, knowledges, experiences, socialise, to network and make friends, and in the short time that I have been a member I have did exactly that and to me that is a prize in itself.

I currently own a NEX-5 that suits my needs and I also have the NEX-7 in pre-order, I believe the give away would be wasted on someone like myself and would be otherwise be more beneficial to other members who do not currently own a NEX camera due to funding issues but are very keen and enthusiastic in owning one.

Regarding the method of redistribution, whether another draw, your personal pick, best photo taken with a low res non-NEX camera, etc...I leave in your capable hands

I am struck by Phoenix' generosity and think it's really awesome of him to give up the prize this way. I chatted with him on Skype for a bit, and it sounds like he's going to have his hands full for a bit as he's getting married in a couple of weeks. After he returns from that, he's going to help me figure out what to do with this prize.

Have first met Pheonix's generosity few days after I've joined the forum. He's a great bloke and us noobs definitely will have to learn many things from him.
I know I am in no position whatsoever, but if that will be workable (although I know it's quite difficult)I could suggest that you upgrade the price to a NEX 7 and run a another contest for about 3-4 months. Only then you will see the power of networking and how it will be reflected over TalkNex.com

Well, even though this forum is small in numbers now, I am very hopeful that the quality of members that it has supersedes the quantity. Phoenix is one such example.

I don't have an NEX but I have been a member of the m4/3 community. and when I heard about this forum in m4/3 I surely knew that it have have some great members like we have in out m4/3 community. I must admit that I have not been a contributor rather I come here to learn from you wonderful people, but I always get respectful and good advice here. No bashing, or rude behavior here. I hope it remains that way, Amin thanks for creating this group and now can I have the nex 5n. (just kidding).

Hopefully, I will soon be owner of nex and come to bug you guys with my amateurish questions.

Whoa! Whoa! hold it folks!!

Thank you very much everyone for your kind words, best wishes, compliments, and praises. I am humbled and overcome, however I do feel that I am being given too much credit than what I deserve and I do feel embarassed . Like I mentioned to Amin, I decided to join the forum not because of the attractive give away but for the images I will be able to see, knowledges that I will be able to learn as well as share, and the friends I will be able to make. My only hope is that whoever I do pass this on to obliges me (and everyone) by sharing their images, knowledges, and experiences (and not disappear after recieving the gift ), this way he / she is getting what what he / she wants and I'm getting what I want (Everyone's a winner!! )

We'll have to get Armanius to draw up a contract with the rules, regulations and provisions for the redistribution .

I have already messaged Amin regarding my idea of redistribution, and my sincerest apologies by not being able to make it sooner as most of you have already know I am travelling abroad to get married in a week's time and my schedule at the moment is extremely hectic.

As for Tymoe's name and rank proposal....well.....you can call me Phoenix, Phen, P, as long as you dont call me 'Mom' or 'Scumbag' (which what my girlfriend / soon to be wife calls me) it's all good .
