    Couldn't let all you guys shooting the moon have all the fun tonight, it's just too nice out not to try my hand once again.
    How's this:

    DSC03068-2.
    Nex-7 w/Nikkor 300mm f4.5 at f8 @125 sec ISO 100.
    Lots of fiddling on my part with the SOOC jpeg to get it sharpened etc. and cropped.

    I was out there earlier tonight as well. Just fooling around wondering what I'd get if I stacked a 3x and a 2x teleconverter onto a 300mm f/4 Takumar. :p
    So, that would be 300 * 2 * 3 = 1800 + 900 (1.5 crop) == 2700mm ~f/22.
    What I got was a mess! :D

    05/01/15 - Just shot this a little while ago. Marine layer is moving is I doubt I'll get much chance to improve it. Lots of moisture in the air (fog).

    It's also unclear tonight in the desert. Haze of clouds in the sky earlier. Nice attempt, almost full.

    Edit:

    The clouds cleared around midnight. So, tried again with the Takumar 300mm f/4.
    This time alone to see how sharp it would be. It looked much better without converters. Here's what the same Moon looked like from PHX...
