Very nice. I like the original and I love the processed shots too.

Looks like a really nice postcard to fairyland. :) How have you cleaned the tree? This seems to be lots of work in Photoshop..

Always interesting to see originals and see changes of post processing. Hope the food is as good as the photo.

@Poki, the sky was plain any way so using the "magic wand" in PS I
picked the sky and deleted it. I then inserted an old sunrise, sky behind
it but cleaning up around the leaves was daunting so I simply erased
the tree.
The adaptation includes one layer in a B&W sketch filter with the layer
in "soft light" mode. Colors were adjusted in Topaz Adjust. The original
shot was initially developed in LR4, reduced to 2000 pixels and saved as
a jpeg.

+1

Fantastic work Hodad!! The processed shots reminded me of a fairytale book illustration... they threw me into a fond childhood flash-back and made me smile! :)

I get a big kick out of working with layers in PS. I guess that I'm
a frustrated illustrator who can't draw..... ;-)

That looks really cool! I sometimes come across these type of images and I've always wondered how they were done. I dont think youre a frustrated illustrator who cant draw, I reckon you just have an interesting and unique way of seeing things.
