Since I like long exposure photography so much, I though I'd start a dedicated thread for it for members to post their photos!

And to be totally honest, its even an idea to gain some inspiration from all the great photos you guys and girls post

Day or night, filters or not, doesn't matter, open to all genres as well (langscape, seascape, cityscape, street etc) !

    I'll start:

Does 15 seconds for a sunstar at f/22 count?

30 sec. looking North towards Downtown Phoenix from South Mountain Park. Its location is the red beacons atop the mountain a little to the left of the horizon in the first pic. Lens is a Tokina AT-X 100-300 f/4 SD. The Nikon F adapter that I had wouldn't focus at infinity. Since replaced it with a better one.

Great idea for a thread, Nick! I really like long exposure, night photography stuff since it never quite turns out how I expect it to. It will be a fun thread to share experiences and tips. You have seen my more successful attempts in the When lightning strikes, and the Accidental Tourist: Stockholm thread...but there have been other experiments as well.

This was a measly 1/6s. It sure is nice to shoot this kind of thing with digital, where I can instantly audition a few different settings without having to drive back home, pay to develop the film and drive back out again. ;)

Amen on no film issues...and if nothing else at all had come about from digital cameras other than simply eliminating film costs, that in itself would have been huge
