So I went to the Beach to get some sunrise shots and the cloud cover basically killed the Sunrise and the wind and sea spray constantly wet my lens. Luckily, I learned to always use a UV when I'm at the beach. Anyway, I gave up and just started walking the beach and lucked into this scene.

To Be honest, since the storm hadn't technically touched down in NJ, I didn't even realize the following shot was the result of a prelude to Hermine until Will @WNG@WNG saw it on Flickr and reminded me of why our shores are acting up.

Please add your Hermine shots if you are affected, but be safe.

Great shot, wonderful tonality and the guy at the right is the icing on the cake! But what is that thing just to the left of the guy, looks like an insect??

Thanks Ad. Are you referring to reel of the fishing rod in his left hand or the shadow of his body motion from the LE? That's the only thing I see, but it could be something from the affect of the multiple exposure blend since I'm trying to show the arm movement of the fisherman.
FYI - The shot is the result of several 1/60 shots and blended in post. This was how I was able to freeze the main motion of the guy and the water while having the lonexposure motion effect on the clouds and his fishing rod for drama.

I was just literally going to ask if this was a several exposure blended shot after seeing how you captured long exposure/movement effect on the clouds but the water not blurred - thanks for the info :)

Ha. Ad you inadvertently alerted me to subtle issue. lol.
I have been working with LR snapshots lately. I actually loaded a Lightroom snapshot where I accidentally brushed out the main rod and only had only the LE blur. That may have thrown you. I have now loaded the correct snapshot with the rod intact. Thanks.

FYI on LR snapshots - They are great if you want to be able to try something, but go back to where you where if it doesn't work out. I used to create a bunch of virtual copies for this, but then it's hard to step back because you lose your history plus you end up with a bunch of useless versions.

Yep, that one makes sense, I'd probably have guessed from the get-go that the faint features were from the rod moving.
