Will post the first landscape images sometime this week (when my a7ii body arrives). For now just enjoying the exterior! Although I did fit this on my good ol Nex5t and well, my jaw dropped. 28-f2-3. 28-f2-2. 28-f2-1.

Haha, let's hope the winning streak continues if that is ever offered. I do want to get the wide angle adapter one day. Right now I'll put the $250 towards the 55/1.8

Thanks. Actually saw some of the images you shared in another thread. They look amazing and definitely got me excited. Did you get a chance to use the wide angle adapter on this lens?
Also are you familiar what setting to change in lightroom if I were to manually fix the distortions on this lens?

I don't have the wide angle adapter and I have been shooting only in JPEG so the camera has been correcting the distortion.

Lightroom will automatically correct the distortion in your raw files as long as you have the lens compensation setting in your camera set for distortion correction.

Oh cool. Is there separate from the option in the bottom right, where you select the make and model of the lens and it auto corrects?
I don't think I have an updated version of lightroom with the distortion info for the more recently released lenses.

Thank you guys. So I decided to take my baby out last weekend, and try it in different lighting conditions. Slight delay in downloading the latest Lightroom, in order to get the proper lens correction.
Very happy with the results from my first shoot. Will take more and share the images. 28f2-5. 28f2-10. 28f2-11. 28f2-13. 28f2-14. 28f2-15. Jimmy-2.

    Thank you!

Guys, a year ago before I started photography I used to stare at the images on 500px and think...Damn how do they do that!
Last night I uploaded the same image that won me this competition to 500px.com (filled with my new found confidence).

Just got an email from them telling me I made it to "Upcoming" and 15 mins later another one stating my image made it to the "Popular" section. Idk, just wanted to share it with you guys here. Had I not won the competition, I probably would not have submitted it. Crazy to think that a year ago I thought I'd never make it to the front pages or so...and now I am there.

Here is the link: The Shire by Joseph Thekale / 500px

Thanks again, I'll stop with these updates now :p
