I am looking for a zeiss telelens for my sony alpha 7. What is advisable.
It really depends what your looking for. A fast tele portrait lens ? The zeiss Batis lens was just announced but not released for a couple of months, its a 85mm f1.8.
There is also the Sony/Zeiss 24-70 f4. Though this lens is regarded as expensive for its performance.
I don't own either lens so I cant tell you how they perform sorry.
For what purpose? Manual or AF?
Not portrait lens; therefor i will buy the new macro 90mm sony.
I am looking for a fast qualified brand maximum 200mm lens and f 2.8. To take photographs on stage.
AF options are Minolta 200mm f/2.8 prime and 70-200 f/2.8 zooms that are useable with Sony la-ea4 adapter. If you are using A7, most probably Sigma 70-200mm OSS might be better with the lens stabilization. They have a $200 rebate going on also:
Thanks for the reply's. Nice day.
Im quite keen on this lens myself, although not a lot of image samples yet. Guess you will have to trade a zeiss badge for a G instead . Early reports indicate this lens is super sharp.
I did some research and i decided to buy this one. Thanks for the advise.
