Tamron SP 500mm f/8 55BB

    The 55BB was Tamron's 2nd revision of their catadioptric lens. Featured a Mangin Mirror of evaporated silver for maximum reflectivity. Adaptall2 interface. Even has a Macro mode.

    These 2 samples were captured close range of 15 to 40 feet respectively. It has a close focusing distance.

    Those mirror lenses are great for things like your moon shot. But that bokeh!:eek-30:

    Yes, donut bokeh! I thought they were incorporated well into the 2nd photo, given the tree's round berries and flowers.
    I picked it up mainly for the Moon, after my 400mm couldn't deliver.

    I find those round buds fascinating.
