    Very nice Brian.

Never ceases to amaze me how some of that old glass can still bring it. I wonder how many of todays "wunderkind" fly-by-wire lenses will still be around if 50 years? As anything other than oddities or paperweights I mean?

Thanks Nick! I was shocked at how well these turned out. Given the age and optical simplicity of this lens I was a little skeptical at first, but it delivers!

Thanks Dave! I am happy they came out sharp since I still need to get a tripod that does macro...between the plants blowing in the wind, me moving the camera inadvertently, and trying to see what is going on in the LCD screen...it is amazing that they came out sharp.

Agreed. Macro work/Handheld/Manual Focus is a recipe for fuzz.

For macro work, I prefer manual focus to the autofocus of the SEL30M35 --there is a lot of AF hunting when near 1:1 on that lens. But a tripod suitable for macro is on the short list for me for sure.
