Surf's Up for Christmas!

    Got up early this morning to check out the beach... weather's pretty bad, surf was a bit rough, but the Christmas holiday surfers weren't going to be denied.

    Right behind my tripod is the only way in and out, a steep and slippery climb back to the walking trail.

    Yes, it's summer here in the Southern Hemisphere. I was quite surprised by the panos this time, the waves didn't show up the stitching for some reason. It might be because I was using the SEL16 this time which is a native lens. When I used the Tamron 24mm legacy, the stitching shows up because of the moving waves.

    Enjoy the warm Christmas weather.

    While not summer here, it can still be in the 70's for Christmas.
