Funny story about this photo. I woke up, saw the red glow, jumped out of bed, grabbed my camera and ran to the lake without putting shoes on. Framed the shot, pressed the shutter and *click*click*click*click*click*click*click*click*click*click*. What the? Oh crap, I forgot to change my settings. OH CRAP ISO 12800! Oh crap the glow is going away!

I was able to save this shot by doing stacking and averaging in photoshop.

ISO 12800? Well, at least you got a real fast shutter speed. :laugh1:

    Nice save!!
Note to self: Memory Recall is your friend.

So that it won't happen again, go to bed with your shoes on! :D

Hmmm... We have a sunsets thread. But not one for sunrises. Perhaps we should start one. Unless everyone on the forum is a late sleeper ;)

Beautiful sunrise colours and reflections, Rae

    Been there, Done that!!
I once captured a stunning sunrise with my tripod mounted camera set to ISO 3200!!
Not quite as bad as 12800 but this was several years ago when 3200 produced way over the acceptable noise levels
