Went camping this weekend with a group and came across some very scenic landscape and some highly-photogenic lizards! These were all taken in Westmoreland, VA on one of the most beautiful camping trips I've been on in a very long time. Please forgive me for the crappy editing, but I am still only at the early editing stage in my career where I slide the sliders in L4 and choose what looks best to me. Thank you! I finally got some shots worthy of me posting here haha. I am wayyyy too critical of most of the photos I take and usually don't post em up here. But after looking back over this set...man, I feel like a professional with this camera haha. I still need to create a logo for my watermark besides a stand-outish crappy text though haha.
Wow, some very nice lizard shots you got there, Aaron. Blue-tailed skinks, aren't they? We don't get to see any of them out here in the western U.S.
Thanks everyone! And I'm assuming they're blue-tails since I have no idea about anything about lizards haha. I didn't even know we have lizards that big where I live, but I now know we do! I've got an even better lizard picture coming up once I process it. You guys'll love it
Those are all excellent pics, but I especially like 4-6. The clarity and lighting are amazing. What was your light source? Oh, and yes those are Skinks. We have them all over the place up here. Tony
Thanks! and it was just the moonlight for 4 and 5, 30s exposure @ 3.5 @ iso100 for both. The supermoon was out and surprisingly it didnt drown out the stars as much as I thought it would. Also got a 20sec timelapse in the same scene. Fell asleep on the dock while my camera was chirpin away haha. Woke up freezing so I grabbed some towels out of my van and cuddled up.
I love it. Sometimes, the conditions just come together perfectly for some really magical shots. Well done. Tony
I really like the whole set, but the lizard images in particular! Brings back childhood when I used to run around in the summer to try and catch a glimse of them. The colouring of these ones is just beautiful!
