A little backstory: In the 20's, there was a sculptor in my area, who worked in what he called "Stonewood". Basically, he sculpted cement to look like gnarly wood, and he was very good! It's very hard to tell his work from wood, unless you walk up and touch it. He did the Stations of the Cross at St. Joseph Shrine and McCourtie Park. These pics are from McCourtie Park.
