Spring, (while not technically not on the calendar), is in full swing here in the desert southwest of the US.

Will that red flowering plant the bee is on survive through the hot months?

Oh ya, it is a full sized tree, the Bottle Brush(callistemon).

The blooms last about three weeks

    Caught one airborne, good !
Macro lenses opened up a whole new world for me...can't wait for our own spring / early summer to get underway...won't be long as snow & ice have been gone for a few days now, temps are inching up, trees are starting to bud

Even this one, which starts at 1:2, and has a supplied adapter to go all the way to 1:1. These were without the adapter.

Those are terrific macros. I always love seeing desert plants. I see B&H don't stock that lens. I wonder if it's been replaced?
