I see Bryan Smith posted this in dpreview:

Sony USA has added a calendar of Sony sponsored or focused events, classes, demos, field trips, around the country to their website.

Some of the field trips and outdoor events in particular require signups and have limited space to participate so make sure to contact that dealer for information.

If you go to the dealer's website and see an event you'd like Sony to participate in, contact that dealer and see if that's a possibility in the future.
